Efficient Product Installation in
Nova Scotia

As of June 30, 2025, the Efficient Product Installation Program stream has ended.

Efficiency Nova Scotia partnered with Summerhill to help residents of Cape Breton, Inverness, Richmond, and Victoria counties save energy.

Through the Efficient Product Installation program (which ended June 30, 2025), we installed energy-efficient products in residences across the region at no cost to the homeowner.

Based on our on-site assessment, they received free installation for the following items:​

  • Smart thermostat​

  • LED light bulbs and nightlights​

  • Water-saving shower heads and faucet aerators​

  • Insulating pipe wrap for electric hot water tanks​

These products can improve home comfort and save residents money on their power bills — up to $240 a year!​
